2.0 coils in 1.8

Hello peeps, I have been looking on the Awesome website and saw these and wondered if anyone has actually done this?

Basically wanting to know whether the benefits they state are true or theoretical but actually negligible in practise.

Also once you've got the adaptors in place is it just a simple swap or do you need a different harness for the coils?

No back to back data to show the need to change imo

Until it has more data save your money

as said above a bit pointless (and probably someone trying to liberate you from your hard earned)

the coilpack exchange program has been running for the 1.8T coils - VAG parts have 2yr warranty if they go wrong after that

so just get your old originals swapped over!

I wouldn't bother TBH. The system on the 1.8T works fine. No need to mess about with it.

Some people have also been saying that the reason it idles better is that the coilpacks have different discharge characteristics. They take a tiny bit longer to generate the voltage, so the timing is slightly retarded, making the engine seem smoother.
