Bluetooth Music Streaming Issue on Bolero

Featured Replies

Hi All

I was hoping somebody could help me. I've read through the forums on this and I am even more confused than I was before.

I have a 2010 Octavia vRS with a Bolero installed. My iPhone4 works just fine with the Bolero as a handsfree kit but will not stream music via BT, even though BT-Audio appears an option on the screen.

I have spoken to the Skoda dealer I bought it from here in NZ, and they have told me I am missing a module to enable that to happen. Does this sound right to everyone and if so, anyone got any idea what that module is? The dealer has been a bit crap at getting me a price for this and even if they do I expect it to be extortionate.

Any help anyone can give me, would be hugely appreciated.

Is it the BT kit under your passenger seat you have ? - You need the later kit; D for streaming to work (otherwise the BT Audio option never illuminates)

If you have a BT Audio capable BT kit, you need to ensure the 'BT Accessory' is also paired - have a scroll through your MaxiDot. The Bluetooth Audio selection in Media on the Bolero ONLY LIGHTS UP once you start playing from your phone at least this is the case with me...

I have had the BT Audio factory kit retro fitted which works well with the phone.  However when streaming music, the track info doesn't display.  Can anyone advise how to get this working?

What phone do you have?

My Samsung (android) will only display track info via bluetooth using certain apps, such as the Samsung music player. Winamp however will not show track info on the stereo screen but still streams if you select the music off the phone.

Hope this helps.

Pull up the main set up menu, click on media I think it is and tick the box 'auto audio BT play' or something, then you shoudl be able to stream music perfectly, if that isnt ticked then it will just pick up the telephoen side of the BT system, if that box is ticked it will pick up audio and telephone, thats what I have done on Bolero, Columbus, VW RNS510 etc
