Dreaded Anti Roll Bar Noise

You can tell summers coming because that dread anti roll bar is singing it song once more, started just before the winter set in and as it was a wet one the ARB was silent. Now my question is do I go for the standard Skoda ARB or is it better to go for an uprated one, The Octy Vrs is completely standard. The car is now out of warranty (although it wasn't when it all started) I took it back to the dealer and he replaced the bushes, I told him this wouldn't cure the problem and I was right. So now it's down to me to pay to get it fixed. (Bet they won't tell me that I don't need a new ARB like they did last time) Your advice will be very welcome.

Thanks

I could be wrong, but surely if this was a problem highlighted in warranty that a fix was attempted on, but failed, they should continue to honour the fix under warranty?

or does it not work that way?

Have many people had this problem ? I think its starting to affect mine as theres some weird noises coming form the front end ! What is the proper fix ? Will changing the Bushings not rectify it ?

It seems to have been quite a common problem. One that (I believe) skoda are aware of. (Happens on various models as well).

I had my suspension rebuilt once, that stopped it for about a week!

I noticed the noise on mine occured when going from Full Lock to Full Lock when parking, it was dry. Started bloody raining on the way home when I brought it into the garage :( .

It should, but I asked my new dealer to find out from Skoda UK last October, I chased them up twice but heard nothing back, I then worked abroad over the winter (came back for the odd weekend). and now I am in my current situation. I doubt Skoda UK will sort it as I left it all over the winter.

How do you know there's a problem with the ARB? Wondering if there's a noise I want to be listening out for :)

The ARB Creaks and groans when you go over you go over an un-level surface. It's fine all the time you travel along the motorway but hit typical urban street and it will start singing.

I get the odd 'clunk' when going over bumps, sounds like it's coming from the pillars beside my head, or mabye the door. Could that be it? What kind of response am I going to get if I take it in to a dealership?

Blubber2, which dealer? PM me if you want.

Mine has made the noise since I got the car. It doesnt really bother me too much as it doesnt do it all the time but I suppose it'll eed sorting this year.
