I recently had a Forge twin pass FMIC (The Seat Sport one) put on my vRS. I now seem to get a big cloud of black smoke at around 1700-1900 rpm when I put my foot semi down in lower gears. Any thoughts on this?

Boost leak? Or maybe the existing map isn't really right now I have the FMIC?

The fitting wasn't bodged, it was done by a Skoda Mastertech (Tech1e)

Have you rechecked all joints? How much smoke is there?

shouldnt make any dif i would have thought, unless the ecu is dumping a **** load of extra fuel because of lower temps. to be fair i dont know lol

Extra lag causing a richer air fuel mixture?

Intake temps want effect the fuels f, well not at that temp anyway.

Well, I havnt checked for any leaks, i've planted the throttle plenty and it just goes fine, Very little smoke, as before. It's just while pottering about at low revs in traffic it seems to dump a load of black smoke now and again.

Im at a bit of a loss as to what to do...

Do you have vcds? If so you can log how much airflow your MAF is reading, then log how much fuel your injecting. This will give you a good idea of air to fuel ratio.

I dont have VCDS, but I can get my tuner to have a look though (hopefully)
