How is car running?

It ideals o.k but won't rev very high and if you give it steady revs at 2500 rpm it is very erratic. I have replaced the fuel filter recently as there was a lot of water in the fuel.

replace fuel temp sensor, and examine wiring for breaks etc

I had a look around the pump but there is only 2 thing I can see one is the start / stop solenoid and the other is an immobilizer I think also the engine type is ALH M07 721 .

Cheers Sam

ignore this post, my next post rendered this one moot

ok found out how to do it, its a dealer only part, but costs about a £20 or so - it will be a trial describing it to them. BUT heres a link on how to change it mate

The part is G81 fuel temp transmitter

Thank you for the link this will be very helpful.

No problem mate, report back if ya can, I'd be interested to see if this helps your symptoms, then may change mine as a matter of course.

The fuel temp sensor warning light is flashing on my octavia with ALH engine.I replaced the sensor but in cooler weather it still flashes and consumption has gone up and power seems reduced.Has anyone any other ideas?
