Sorry for cramping your style in that pic. :)

Car looked great Charlie, as always!

Thanks Richard, I was seriously impressed with your Yeti and your skills.

I also realised as nice as my seats are they aren't very supportive on track. Both me and my passenger had a bit of movement.

May have to look for some other seats for track work

It's getting the right mix of comfort and support.

Carbon Buckets are very nice, but after two and a half hours your bum goes a bit numb. :D

You'll need a little cushion :)

That's the plan. I'm having a look at what's available and can be a direct fit

Hey Charlie at you using a CG lock on your seat belt ?

  • Author

What's one of them?

It goes on your seat belt and locks the lap portion so keeping you firmly in the seat. Quite inexpensive about £40 and does an excellent job

Cheers Pete I'll have a look into getting one or 2 :) part of the problem I had was that the seats aren't that hugging, so I had room to move about

I have a spare one you can try if you like Charlie.

My car got spotted by slammed uk at the modified live car show and they asked if they can use it on Facebook which is pretty cool :)

I have decided to have a month off the car so October will be very quiet. Will be busy planning future ideas though.

Definitely getting a new set of wheels for every day/ show use and keep the 1.2s for track use. Just not sure what to get. Any ideas?

Maybe venture into the world of coilovers, will complete the look for shows and meets etc and still be good for track.

Also got a pd150 turbo to hybrid and fit :)

Finally I'm still playing with the idea of changing the colour, whether it gets wrapped or sprayed I'm not sure yet.

Anyway enough writing, here's a recent pic next to my brothers car

Thanks Dan, cleaned it 3 times in the past couple of days. Driving to shows in the rain sucks!

First washed it Friday to get ready for the show, cleaned it before going into the show, only to be told I had too much fuel, so had to blast up and down the road to burn fuel :D

that looks mega dude, what you mean to much fuel? either way bet that woke you up lol

Saw you today, came over and spoke to you with my missis, was a good day apart from the organisation was shocking!

Thanks mate :) As it was inside I had to be on a 1/4 tank or less for some health and safety thing. Track day tires, torrential rain and roundabouts are very interesting

Was good to meet you mate, yeah the organisation was crap, especially the guys leading everyone out of the venue

Saw this today mate, looks awesome in the flesh. Jealous of the interior far too much! Plans sound good too :)

Broke it :( need new track rods and track rod ends for both sides. Hopefully get it sorted by next week

Ive just chamged them on mine. Had stupid amounts of play. Only took half hour a side aswell :) working off an axle stand aha

  • Author

That's good to know then :) may have a go at fitting them myself

Literally. Drop track rod end with 19mm(?) nut out and its a 32mm flanges for spanner on the rod end. Awkward to get at but capable if you put it in full lock so it extends fully. Id gladly help if i wasnt so far away aha

Definatly need to get to a big show and come have a look at this car :)
