Not sure what she's running. Hopefully close to 220, but really don't know. I got quite a bit of spin off the line, but didn't do anything to save weight. Still had the spare wheel and seats etc

My launches were pretty iffy tbh. I'm sure there's many factors which could have affected it. I had to change to 4th gear too each run.

It's not really built as a drag car so ill just aim to improve on that in future

:giggle: practice makes perfect! high torque must be a total arse trying to launch this lol. what is it 350-400???

160bhp and 150lb in the cav perfect launching figures :giggle:

Again not sure on figures. Over 300ft lbs at least. Yeah was a handful, span in 1st and 2nd, but once it gripped it shifted

Keep us informed how you get on. I need to get some new tyres soon and was thinking Hankooks rather than the Toyos i currently have. :)

I hope I'm not too mad going for the soft and not the medium

New tires fitted today and had my aircon regassed.

Initial reports. They are good. Very good. I think combined with some different pads, like ds2500s it will be very capable :)

Are they road legal aswell or just track wheels? They look like they will be epic in the dry, so lets hope its dry at combe for you.

  • Author

Yep road legal :) the drive home was great. Hopefully it stays dry, but the reviews say they're pretty good in the wet too.

I might get some other wheels though as they may only last 5,000 miles or so

Went to castle Combe this weekend for the summer action day. The car performed well and the new tires gripped like anything :)

Here's a few pics and a video

I got complemented on how little my car smoked and how nice it sounded :)

I wasn't going to do any more performance mods, but I picked up a pd150 turbo from Devonutopia with the Intention of hybridising it.

Should see some improvement :)

Sorry for cramping your style in that pic. :)

Car looked great Charlie, as always!
