The final 2 wheels arrive, so I can get them all fitted and the car will look shiny still.

Can't put new wheels on a dirty car

Brave man, putting on wheels with a chrome lip in time for winter!

Will suit your car DH.

Thanks mate :)

Yeah is brave, but the other choice is still run the semi slick track tires over winter. Not sure which is worse

Wheel nut missing in that last pic? I like them but somehow makes it look higher or is it just unsettled still?

Great build thread Charlie (can't believe I haven't commented on it yet  ) and prefer your new wheels :)

Close, they didn't send me enough black ones, so had to use 4 silver ones. I've not moved it since jacking it up so may still settle. If it still looks high I'll get some coilovers :)

Thanks Jay :)

You need a Diff !

I know I do Pete, needed new wheels and tyres first so I could survive the winter :)

Had a little drive up to Dartford today and met up with adamweal who fitted my draft 42 and verdict gear selector bushes.

A little bit of blood and a tiny bit of swearing and it was done. The gear changes are very precise and mechanical now which feels great.

No pictures unfortunately as I've been driving it until it got dark. A very worthwhile mod

Thanks again Adam

Car looks great Charlie! I'm looking at changing the selector bushes after your positive review, do you have the link for the ones you used please?

Mate this little car is the bollards, would love something like that to scream around in, with 220ish horses and all that torque must be a hoot, my missus had an Ibiza 130 PD Sport a few years ago and that wasn't exactly slow standard!

The only thing I don't like is the vRS badge on the glovebox, also well pleased that sharkfin antenna went bye-bye.

  • Author

Thanks mate :) The Vrs badge on the glove box has gone too

Not the best but here's 1

I'm just about to purchase a set of these mate. did you change the colour of the LEDs or is that how they come straight out the box? :)

  • Author

They came out of the box like it. I got mine from madmotors.co.uk I have seen another brand but they have a whiter colour to the LEDs and no auto adjuster

Gave the car a quick clean as it's Christmas, got too damp to polish it though

The suspensions settled a little bit, the wonky drive doesn't help too much though
