I did t know you could do that. Does it just unscrew?

Yes mate grab your old cap, put it in and twist it anti clockwise may be a tad tight as hasn't been off as you didn't know about it hahaha :)

Only thing is it will lock 90 degree further around. I done it to mine and it anouys me every time I open the bonnet, it's better than the raiser but im abit ocd lol.

Aww man, now I'm not sure what to do. Not sure i'd like it at 90 degrees :/

Yeah, having the oil cap on the quiff would have got to me too :D Never understood why the handles weren't colour coded to begin with as it looks soooo much better :wonder:

Great stuff dude :)

  • Author

I couldnt't understand that myself. Just seems a bit tight of skoda to leave them plain.

Handles look so much better colour coded, makes the car look cleaner overall too. Should have some silver ones on the way soon.

Awesome that will look great :)

Hit a rabbit the other day and it has pulled out half the screws on the splitter :(

Think I'll have to redo all the screws with nuts and bolts

Playing catch up on the threads, as I haven't been on here for a while.

Nice wheels Charlie, really suit the car.

BTW I have already got the oil filler cap but where did you source the rad one from ?

Cheers

Thanks Karl,

I got it from awesome gti's ebay site, but they should have some on their website

I prefer it to the r8 one as it has a blue symbol, it would really suit your engine bay :)

Are you still up for doing my tail lights?

Cheers Charlie,

I haven't forgotten, just timescales have had to be changed due to unexpected home repairs end of last year

Slowly getting back on track now but will still be a few months yet

Got to save a bit before spending a couple of hundred quid on some LEDs

Will be done though

Realised I never posted a pic of the gear selector bushes

How you finding those selector bushes bud..? I'm looking at doing it since the standard gear change is abit sloppy..

Have you changed the bracket bushings aswell or just the selector ones..?

  • Author

The selector bushes are great :) so precise and mechanical feeling. Much improved over standard. I did also do the bracket bushings too :)

Well worth doing

I've had a feel of the bushes in another Fabia on the gear selector and they feel much better! Going to look at doing it myself at some point soon :)

Double post!

Been a while since I've checked up on this, car's looking good, not overly sure on the new wheels myself but aslong as you are happy with them. However I do like the colour coded door handles, really suits and freshens the overall look of the car up, gives me ideas for when I send mine into the bodyshop in the new few weeks

  • Author

Thanks Adam, yeah I know the wheels are a little marmite but I like them. I don't think photos do them justice tbh.

Are you getting the colour changed or just repair work?

I think if it sat a little lower it would suit it better.

Just going in for repair work after it got bumped.

What are the future plans for your car?

Definitely a plus 1 on the lower would make them look better :)

  • Author

Yes I think lower would help. Maybe spacing them as they are a little tucked in
