Body Kits - vRS Mk2

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I have an '07 vRS, and quite like the look of some of the bodykits, especially the front lips/bumpers, and side skirts.

I know they're not to everyone's taste, but has anyone had any experience of fitting and/or running with them, or any recommended brands.

The two I particularly have my eyes on are a Maxton and Rieger.

Thanks!

I'm afraid I'm one of the don't do it's so it's a "Neither" from me!

The only side skirts I'd be tempted to fit are the oem Mk5 Golf GTi ones. More or less a straight fit by all accounts.

I have mk6 gti skirts on mine. Not a fan of the reiger or maxton kits.

Any particular reason Rob? Quality or just don't like the looks?

Looks. Generally the after market stuff for the octy is a bit too extreme for me. The Gti skirts look OEM which was the look I was after.

Pics on my blog just in case you hadn't found them already.

Do the mk6 skirts make enough of a difference to make it worthwhile though?

I quite like the OEM carbon kit

the front carbon splitter and rear diffuser is mostly all id want from them, but i guess sideskirts would complete it.. never seen it on raceblue though

I liked them enought to buy them and fit to my old 2010 car. I don't have any plans however to put some on my new 2012 car..
