I decided Monday that with my 2 weeks off work i'd forget the holiday sitting on the beach and head to the nurburgring with the Mrs instead!

Luckily her parents live in Brussels so got a nice (free!) stopping point on the way. Can't wait to carr onto the ring tomorrow Think i'll just do one lap and enjoy the atmosphere and other cars about.

Just wondered if anyone has been up there recently and got any tips? It's open for the evening to the public so not sure if I can watch whats going round in the day?

Watch out for other people. Don't go charging over unsighted hills as the road may turn away underneath you.

Avoid the barriers, they are very expensive. Generally take it easy and enjoy it rather than going flat out and having an unpleasant day.

I think I will definitely be taking it easy. I've seen the charge for hittin a barrier do will be aiming to say well away. I'm glad I'm going to an evening time because it's meant to be much quieter.

I went there in July. Its awesome. I just did 2laps. Its only open a couple of hours a day to the public so check the timetable on the website.

My Columbus Sat nav had the ring on it so my mate could co drive, this made it a lot easier.
