Uprated clutch with DMF?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Still plodding on with my project and i'm onto the clutch - now my car is a daily drive so it needs to be drivable!

Planning a hybrid PD150, group buy FMIC and a clutch - hoping for around 220bhp. Im aware i'll need an uprated clutch, but what are my options on the flywheel? Even the silent SMF give some kind of vibration etc i'm led to believe, so what about a new DMF at the same time?

If this really wont hold, what are my options? I see the southbend silent one at darkside developments at around £900 for the Stage 2 daily drive kit, what else is there out there with the associated prices?

mine is around 190bhp and a new dmf has lasted 12 months.. its rattling like a good un now! am going to be upping the power over the next week with a few performance goodies and a different map so i will have to get a smf for it, will be able to live with the chatter of an smf over the rattle of a dmf i hope!
