Wow!

Had a test drive today in a 5dr Greenline 60Ps Elegance.

Was blown away by the quality of the ride and general feel of the car.

We have a Yeti on order and I used to have an Octy estate before that.

Our current small car is a Hyundai i10, which is OK. Its only a year old and has just had its first service.

The Citigo is light years ahead in terms of driveability, it feels just like its bigger brothers.

As far as I can see the only areas where the i10 beat the citigo are headroom and boot accessibility.

I can get a cubic metre dumpy bag with garden waste in the i10, because the boot floor is flat and the opening is square, but as the yeti will be doing tip runs I wont need to bother about that issue.

The i10 has a very free revving engine which, combined with an ultra light touch accelerator, makes it a bit unpredictable when pulling away.

I have been considering a 75ps Citigo, but the 60 seems to have bags of get up an go, even in a tight brand new demonstrator.

Looked at the 3 door version in the showroom but didn't like the size of the single door.

Er in doors, used to have a BMW 3 series coupe and that was a pain to get in and out of when parked close to another vehicle or a wall. Plus the doors dropped on the hinges after a number of years.

Now we are in the situation of trying to sell 2 cars and get 2 new ones.

They yeti is still 8 weeks + away and I see there are beginning to be delays on the citigo. Those who buy Yeti's are used to this of course!

Having read elsewhere on this forum that the engine needs to be run in carefully I am not convinced about buying a demonstrator.

Oh dear!!!
