Im back in an Octavia..

Featured Replies

well as the title says I'm back in an Octavia this time its a 1.8t elegance 4x4 estate with an LPG conversion

we picked it up tonight and we've been told its had a remap to 185bhp but there's nothing to back this up but she does pull well and is lively but then ive never drove a 1.8t before so its hard to tell

there's a few niggles so far ive had the code reader on and its coming back with steering angle sensor and longtitude acceleration sensor also acceleration altitude sensor so ill be doing a bit of reading up on this or if any one can point me in the right direction I would be grateful

Ill get some pictures tomorrow in the daylight

Looks nice and tidy. Did you add the rear door edge protectors, or was that a previous owner?

it was the previous owner im still in 2 minds about them.

ill be adding air deflectors in the near future also on the look out for a tow-bar

I picked up my towbar (new) from ebay.

At least the door protectors help to show the car was well cared for (unless they put them on prior to selling to hide a load of chips in the paintwork....

When I was after a tow bar for the Vrs there were loads of 4x4 on ebay going cheap. Think the 4x4 ones are lower than the normal Octys or something

yea I'm pretty sure it was well looked after they had there private plate on it it was an older retired couple and the wife was about crying when it went away.

it was spotless inside and out

only reason they were getting rid of it was they had bought a big caravan and bought a new style rangerover sport for towing the caravan

its done 122k and the service history is stamped up to 119k

sounds like a good buy, just give it a once over and full service! mind me asking how much it was?

its booked in for an LPG service. the timing belt has just been changed but I've got everything ordered to give it a full service ( I like to do my own servicing )

It was advertised for £1450 I got them down to £1200 for the sake of the rear silencer being a bit ropey and 2 of the tyres being border line
