Given my brief trip into limp mode during Saturdays track session at Combe seemed to be sorted with a quick off and on again I decided not to worry about pushing anyone for a VAGCOM scan.

The car performed perfectly on the from Combe to Swindon, then from Swindon to a wedding evening do, and then from the wedding home again all told about 60 miles and an hour and a half

So all was hunkydory and i stuck it in the garage for a day of rest yesterday.

(Notice that "was"? Can you see where this is going?)

This morning I hop in the car to head to work only to be greeted after 5 yards by an array of warning lights including PAS, ABS, and EPC and a beeping red caution mark which I have to assume is never a good sign.

Oh poo sticks.

Flux breakdown on the way who can hopefully just reset everything (which i should have reset on Saturday) and I can go on my merry way.

Flux Rescue have sent out a breakdown guy who had trouble getting his diagnostic tool to communicate with the car.

We'd also lost most of the warning lights and just had EPC.

Clearly i'd only "tried turn it off and turn it on again" not the "REALLY turn it off anf turn it on again" as he then suggesed.

One disconnected and reconnected battery later and we were in.

Scan says "1 intermittent Emissions related fault"

delete fault?

no warning lights remain and now i have made it to work (which apparently is a good thing)

Will try to get it to my tame VW master tech for a proper scan shortly.

Did you manage to take it to a VW master tech??

I'm getting the same sort of faults but without the red caution mark and no beeps. Just wondering if calling out the AA might be of any use or whether to try and get it booked in with these guys.... http://camspeconline.com/
