They're good results! But the difference between engine and wheels power is massive. I know mine is but yours is even more, my graph shows 153bhp at the wheels and 207bhp at the fly.

Yours shows 151ps so about 145bhp and 222ps flywheel about 215bhp?

Yes this dyno here always Shows alot Drag lose . I got another dyno booked in a few days Just to compare.

They had a few 1.4 Tsi Cars there and Stock power was usualy between 183-190hp also with 50-60hp Drag lose

Another dyno to compare to will be interesting, post it up when u have it done

When I was on the Maha I got 204 bhp at the engine, 151 at the wheels. A siginificant drop and its completely put me going to Stage 2. Only a 10 or so bhp gain while requiring a new intercooler and turbo backed exhaust.... Might as well go Stage 3 from my eyes... Then again that is the test file for stage 2 so who knows what the final one will be..

Speedometer readings are a) high on standard wheels and b ) will be well high if on a smaller wheel/tyre combo. 130mph on GPS was almost 140mph indicated (stock 205/40x17) but I found it a bit twitchy by then...

New Dyno from a Local Rally car Builder.

still waiting for the Mail but it was something around 212HP and 187WHP with around the same torque as before.

Not bad at all! Good to get some comparisons

been trying to upload a pic for some time of my RR graph today, if all goes to plan here it is above

i do not know much about how to read RR print outs but to me this looks pretty poor considering  maybe someone on here can shed some light.

1.4 tsi, APR stage 2, forge front mount, full TB milltek decat & custom intake using standard airbox with panel filter.

thanks

Excellent results mate, but not surprised with your mods! would of expected more power but 285 lb/ft is nice!

From what I've heard the power and torque should cross at 5250rpm but fabianoh5n1's doesn't either?? something to do with the scaling. Mine does:

APRST1RPM.png

And I thought yours had a misfire at 6800rpm but it just looks where the APR map must tail off as mine drops around there, its just that yours continue's on the dyno, I think it could have changed up at that point?

Hopefully someone with a bit more knowledge will assist you but apart from that it looks spot on!

Ill be booking my car in at another RR to compare the two shortly depending on work

I don't know much on graphs tbh lol I just drive & mod the car :) is your car completely standard with those figures?

I did think that and so did the guy doing the runs because misfires are a big pain with these cars & the kick down.

Thanks for the reply :)

Mine is around The Same as sibs, whp would be Nice to See , also The uncorected power .

Will Post Mine when iam home

Also my New dyno Looks very restrikted at The end 5000rpm +

How do I get the whp figures? You minus 10/12% dont you? :S that is the print out I received, nothing else.

Ive read everything from 0-45% loss from the engine to wheels..

So basicly you can pick any number in that range and you might be safe :)

Every dyno is diffrent so the best is to do several runs in the same dyno just to see the actual increase

You can call then for The whp figure everything is saved in The dynojet .drf file .

Cheers, i shall give them a ring Monday :)

They will only cross if the torque/power axis are scaled the same. If you look atthe values of torque/power at 5252rpm they are the same, so if it was scaled the same they would cross.

@sib-RS id say thats avery strong graphg graph. Torque seems a little high, i presume that was Awesome GTI, they have a dynojet that normally gives big torque figures. But ignoring that, id say you have a an awesome power curve. remember, peak figures dont make a fast car, the amount of area under the curve makes a fast car, and with that plateau of power and big hump of torque, id imagine that goes like a stabbed rat. It does drop at 6800rpm sharply though, mine did the same when i had the misfire issue.

I dont get how the MAHA creates its wheel Hp, it produces huge losses. Once mine is done ill be taking mine to a dynodynamics rolling road to get those figures. If i get 250hp on dynodynamics rollers ill be more than happy.

FWIW, my WHP from APRs MAHA dyno was 163whp when it was running the 250hp (MAHA figures)with a 73Hp transmission loss!!! Doesnt make sense to me.

Hayden, theres something strange with your cars figures i think. Your intake air temps are lower than the external ambient temperature. Short of using dry ice or similar, id say thats not possible.

It looks like there might not be much of an option for stage 3 anymore.

APR say its unlikely they will be offering the LOBA turbo as a hybrid stage 3 package, as they no longer wish to work with LOBA, so unless they come out with their own alternative GT28 type setup, i think stage 3 is a no go, unless you find someone willing to do a more custom job. I know Shark performance are LOBA dealers, so they will be an option, as are Jabbasport.

GIAC is also an option...

May I ask why APR won't work with Loba?

Skickat från min HTC One X via Tapatalk 2

Think LOBAs turbo upgrade options for a few of the TFSI variants have an overlap with APRs turbo upgrade options. It was all over VAGOC but the threads have been removed, and LOBA left as a result

Okay... But APR doesn't have anything for the 1.4 BiTSi yet? Not that I've found atleast! Would be a very bad timing to cut the cord there...

If anyone is interested in a stage 3 solution I'm guna be starting on a gt28 solution within the next week or so.

They have the stage 1/2 maps, and in the next month or so, there will be a big intercooler, but i think mine will be a one off stage 3 map, unless, like Pi118ull said, they develop a GT28 based setup, which is normally what they do with all their stage 3 kits.

i know Jammy dodger is stage 1 APR and has a LOBA turbo ready to be fitted to his ncar, so maybe he could persuade them to maop his as well.

Look forward to reading about this. How is your new stage 2?
