Rear bench advice

Featured Replies

Hi,

Spent days searching forums & the internet to find an answer with no luck!

Want leathers in my furby, going to go with some audi tt seats and adjust the subframe accordingly.

My question is, how would i go about getting leathers on the rear bench, I would like it to match the TT fronts but not sure what needs to be done to get them to fit?

Anyone any ideas?

Thanks in advance

find a trimmers local to you and ask them if they can re-trim your rear seats to match the tt fronts, should not be a problem for them.

Aye looked into that however thought it was going to be more than 200 quid so in total more than a used set of se leather

But it'd be brand new?. . used se leather would be. . . .used. . and its crap and bland anyway the se leather.

Doubt the TT seats will go tbh, the back of a TT is tiny. Get them trimmed or don't run back seats lol

Not running back seats sounds tempting!! Ok retrim only option then!

Thanks for help

i ran mine with no rear seats the other week, i have front and rear strut braces and a rear arb and on coilovers set to low and a full set of poly bushes on 205 40 17 tyres and it was damn noisy!

Yeah I ran with no back seats for a bit, loud, lots of road noise, my Piper sounded pretty good though! I didnt mind it tbh, even as a daily. The only annoying thing is hiding anything when you leave the car somewhere to stop people breaking in.

+1!

I had just the drivers seat and no carpet/sound proofing for a while in the Polo. . . it was terrible! Pretty cool hearing the fuel pump working away and the rush of the exhaust gases, but for medium/long journeys it would drive me mad - and deaf!

Also kept losing anything I carried in the car, like my wallet, laptop, uni stuff etc as there was nothing to secure it.
