bluetooth connection on ancient mobile

Featured Replies

I have an ancient Nokia 6310i which has connected to the bluetooth in the Yeti. (August 2012 Bolero unit) No problems with calls etc but when someone sends a text the bluetooth connection is lost, the phone remains in hands free mode and to get the connection re established i have to switch the phone off and on again. Is it because the phone is too ancient, or am I doing something stupid! (More likely)

It will be because it is an ancient version of Bluetooth. I have a Palmone Treo 650 and it barely connects, so much so that there is no point, but a SE K800i seems to work fine.

It doesn't work properly with the new versions either!!

I still miss calls with my iPhone 4S. (iPhone 4 worked perfectly)

I wonder how an iPhone 5 will behave?

Phones with Bluetooth version 2.x seems to work best on my Yeti.

Still got one somewhere.

Yes they were good. Build quality wasn't as good as my 6210i though.

Preferred the Treo 650. Still my favourite.

Silly question - we've got a 110 SE, Jan 2012 and Buetooth doesn't seem to work despite the Bolero manual saying so.

Is it because it is a low spec, or me not doing something?

Unless you specified the car to have Bluetooth, the SE (like mine) doesn't have it.

Check is that if there is a box under the passenger seat (I thnk) then BT is fitted.

Not a low spec, just not supplied with bluetooth as standard. It was an option. Bolero is Bluetooth capable, just needs a magic box to make it work.

errrr..... that will be the amplifier for the optional sound system sir. Under the drivers seat is where the Bluetooth module is...

The other obvious sign is the telephone button on the multifunction steering wheel, (and probably a phone menu within the maxidot if fitted.)
