JOM coilovers vs Eibach springs

Featured Replies

Ive just put the Eibach Pro-Kit on my vrs, along with a whiteline arb on the stiffest setting, a upper rear strut brace and a upper front strut brace, i have new console bushes aswell and the ride is fine, dont get me wrong you can tell the cars lowered, its stiffer, handles brilliant, and it certainly is not crashy and bouncy, takes the bumps very well, even on really crappy roads and frankly im glad i didnt buy coilovers, i didnt want to go very low just wanted the arch gap shortened, and didnt want to lose the ride comfort.

You have really gone for a great set up there! Very nice! :D

Awesome Mike

Cheers mike! Handles like a dream! Got good tyres on it aswell, always a must!

Any one know what the eibach coliver are like compared to Jom or ta technix for a mk3 vrs tdi. As they are twice the price but what is there ride like as Jom and talk are very stiff

i don't know but i'd imagine Eibach coilovers are better than JOM but springs maybe not

I have both koni STrt and KW V2 in 2 ibizas and the KW really are better, slightly better performance and way better comfort with similar or bigger drop

I think it's mostly safe to say more expensive is better

Just purchased a fabia vRS with recently fitted JOM, it was lowered by 40 mm, while the handling / cornering was excellent the ride was WAY to hard for me personally specially on the UK pot hole riddled roads, raised by 20 mm while still very firm the pot holes are not as bad, and handling could do with RARB to put it back in the handling space when at previously lowered setting.

Eibachs are springs, Bilstein make the shocks, put together they make the B12 kit.

I have this setup and I can drive at 100mph on (private) roads where the standard suspension would cause the car to crash and kill me.

You get what you pay for. Any questions?
