So have been experiencing a slightly lumpy idle and also seems as if she's holding back intermittently sometimes. After searching on here I asked my husband if he could clean out anti stutter and egr valve assemblies. Ohh great he said !

And so off with this

That looks nice and clean said the husband. Now where is the red wine. It's on the inside I informed him where all the gunk builds up. So take it apart and clean it now ! Ok he said.

Ohhhh !

Time to re-assemble using new gaskets and o rings

All made easy with the correct tools. This small ratchet was apparently very helpful when undoing and doing up the Allen bolts under the EGR.

Thanks lovely husband. Car idles much more smoothly and intermittent power loss should be sorted. Time will tell. Husband enjoy your wine now

Very good. Can he come and do mine?

I'll supply the wine!

Adam you are welcome to pop round and I will do it for you. Bring O rings x 2 and gasket also 2 cans of carb cleaner. Most essential Faustino 1. 2000 or 2001 vintage !

Sounds like a good plan! :)

Make sure the wine is afterwards lol

Definately - seeing as it's my car he's fiddling with

First rolling road ever for me. A bit scary I have to say ! Anyway all is good the W8 performance/Shark stage 1 map gives some extra BHP's and Torque thingies. Whatever that means. All I know is it goes quite well.

May be a bit premature but the hubby didn't want to leave it too late. Standard VRS alloys expertly refurbished by Wicked Wheels of Kent. Shod with Good Year Ultra Grip winter tyres.

£50 a rim for the wheels to be refurbished

Hmm spit and polish a lot cheaper but will they be as good...

Still got to arrange painting your calipers and cleaning my egr

Buy cheap, buy twice ;) Are they really cheaper than £50 per wheel???
