She has moved on a little: Removable front bumper for those horrid inclines and awkwards parking:

  • Failed on 3 things...... :'(     1. Drivers side headlight no main beam 2. Drivers side rear door wont open 3. No Cat fitted.

  • Indeed it is Monza Blue, IIRC they only did them this colour for 1 year.

Close future plans means I cannot afford to keep hold of her.

My main goal was to get it road worthy and look at what i was doing and see what the plan was, It has been one of the best things i have ever done, Build my own car and really does make me want to do a kit car in the future, but at this moment in time I need to sell up and get on with my life.

Would love to see her go to someone who will enjoy her, even if they just fix the little niggles and drive her into the ground and actually enjoy driving her.

Its sad to say it, I nearly cried when I decided this, been my baby for the past few years. Time to growd up a little more.

Fair point dude if needs must and all that.

It is a shame though. Lovely motor and I do hope it goes to someone that will look after it :)

sorry to hear buddy, don't do anything you will regret...

have a think, and come back to the decision if necessary

Its been on my mind for the past couple of weeks (since i got it back on the road).

Talking to a few people (incuding the GF) weighing up the options between the Jetta and MX5 and its a shame to say it but the MX5 won.

Looking at the release of the rapid sportsback i may be back to VAG in the next year or so. lol

mx5 over a jetta....sad days dude sad days!
