Non-VRS Octavias

Featured Replies

Indego Blue - I only know, cos thats the same colour as mine. However, it has several names depending on whether you go to Seat, Skoda, Audi, VW or Ford for it (The galaxy was available in this colour at one time!)

You can also use Renault paint of a similar shade, and it doesn't show up - Had a scratch on the bonnet of mine through to the metal, so used my mums touch up paint to protect it while I got the correct one, can't even see it, and I know where to look.

Anyway, mine's a none VRS TDI estate, elegance to be exact with the sickly tan interior, which is looking a little on the dirty side after 130k miles.

Who connected the coolant to the intake? How?

Excellent, wonder how much a trade card knocks off.

Can people post up pics of their non-VRS mk1s. After some inspiration :)

I've got to be honest mate, that's the best looking non-vRS on here. Roof rack looks well too, just about to fit one to my vRS, and this gives me confidence that it won't ruin the looks!

Roof racks should only be fitted when they need to be used, otherwise they should be taken off and stored somewhere, but not left on the car. Wrong, wrong, wrong!

imho, of course

Strange but I can't have it without the racks now. Tried taking them off and it just doesn't look right. They have to be low ones. Thule 753 footpack 3003. Thanks for the positive words its been done on a major budget

It just makes it look like someone has fitted carrying handles.

nice car lofty. Roof racks even look like the rat look euro thing however done....in a proper way not ratty if you see what i mean.

You know it ****s with your super diseel fuel economy though right ? :)

The economy is great if driven properly. Thanks for the praise, and trundlenut ha I suppose roof racks are a marmite thing. Hoping fuel economy stays as tomorrow the 110 bhp injectors go in, and i have means to adjust fuel now so hopefully I either get a bit more power or a bit more economy

My old Citroen ZX diesel used to do 47mpg regardless of how you drove and it what you put in or on it.

Binglybong. The skip, complete with dents, electrical-taped black grille, factory-fit 6-digit mileage, punchy engine, nice interior... I like it. Although if my accidental bid on an S8 works out, I'll be sending her to a new fate... probably to someone who'll look after her better... :p

I'll give you 200 quid. Couldn't afford to run it with the crap mpg so it'd be scrap value ha
