Thinking of buying monty

Featured Replies

This was a courtesy car would it be ok to buy price £11500 may put dep sun 23 5000 miles

1.2 tsi (105)

Have you compared price against new? As when we got swmbo's one in march brand new vat free was only a little more than that. But that depends on what options you have? Could you wait build time for a new one?

That 1.2 TSI (105) is a cracking engine and that's coming from a VRS owner. Drove my mates and was certainly fun!

just a bit concerned about it being a courtesy car not being theres and ragging it

Is it a ex courtesy car or ex demo? I guess I'd have concerns to if it was an ex courtesy as everyone will have driven it and it may have had a hard life. My dad bought his last car ex demo and it hasn't missed a beat been brilliant.

Ask the question on a new one and see what is currently in uncommitted UK stock.

Bought a new Monte earlier this year and took one from UK stock in about 10 days.

At £11.5 k and 5k miles my personal feeling is that it is possibly a little overpriced, although will depend very much on spec.

Likewise also been thinking about a Monte to replace our 2010 Elegance TSI 85 and if the prices given by the broker drivethedeal are achievable, then many of the 61/12 plate used examples make no sense (some noticeably cheaper 11 plates out there).

Been scanning through many of the used Monte's and only the odd one is optioned other than metallic or sprint paintwork. Also I'd like ESP (have it on ours; proved useful in the winter) but there's no Fabia's anywhere of any model with that option other than DSG/GreenLine.

Financially another Elegance would be the way to go; better spec kit wise and still with an interest free loan, as two years ago but I must be having a mid life crisis as I keep being draw back to the sportier model :giggle:
