Tyre pressures - Monte/vRS

Featured Replies

Just a quick question, my Monte and vRS have the same tyre size but totally different pressures. Monte 2.1 bar front and 2.3 bar rear, vRS 2.6 front and 2.5 rear.

Can anyone shed any light as to why this is, surely one is either over or under inflated?

Thanks!

The simple reply is that a vRS is heavier than a Monte, so will need higher pressures from what is,as you say,the same size tyre to support that weight.

I run 2.5 bar all round on the vRS, works well

The monte comes in different engines so i would presume different tyre pressures for each.

Not according to the sticker in the fuel flap on ours just goes on wheel size and how it's loaded

Remember and set them for the cold, if it is cold. (or understand about the ambient temp when setting)

to the Load, if Driver & Passenger just, or full car & boot.
