Vrs coilovers on a 1.4 8v

Featured Replies

Hi all I'm just curious if a set of vrs coilovers will fit my 1.4 without any problems?

cheers

Sam.

Yes... they will ;)

They will fit, although the front will be very bouncy, as the springs will be rated for the heavy derv lump.

Shouldnt be any issues, all the coilovers are listed for all the engines and i`m pretty sure they are all the same kit. Shocks and springs will be adjusted for weight but not most common coilovers.

sweet cheers guys, what would people recommend?

As its just a 1.4 8v, and you want to lower for looks not handly I presume, joms will be fine, if you want to spend a bit more then ap's.

Venom motorsport sells them cheap, but most places do a price match.

Most coilovers kits for the Fabia are the same for all engines so you shouldn't have any problems.

You should be fine with those!!

If you need any other bits such as top mounts or replacement bushes etc for your Fabia just give us a call or PM me! :)

I'd have thought it would mean the reverse. The springs would be stiffer to compensate for the weight, so the ride would be less bouncy. Probably close to feel every minute bump in the road up your arse bumpy. Heavy engine on springs designed for a light engine might be the reverse, as they would be easier to compress, and the engine weight would compress them more.

joms, all the way, they can handle anything a sub 100bhp car can throw at em?

ok cheers guys

I'm running Spax RSX coil overs on my 1.4, nice set up even if they look a little scabby four years on. Still adjust though.
