Ordered Night breakers yesterday and they arrived today, fitted and working, just need to move NS beam to the right a bit as the NS is lighting up to much of the verge, checked it last night it is lighting nearly 50 metres of it,, is it the top or bottom adjuster to move the aim to the right

  • Excuse me for a moment Buddy while I inhale your grief. How can I explain to you why your guy is unable to do anything? my man has a genuine Ross tech kit. I personally plugged it into my obd port

  • Absolutely no need for you to make this remark at all. If you'll notice the "illegal crew" have stayed out of every single discussion that has appeared here. Why? Because there is simply no telling so

  • That looks like the slimline ballast kit from eBay seller londoncolour to me. I take it that the person who cannot access the CECM on the latest cars is using a genuine VCDS cable and the latest vers

I just took mine to the local mot station and they adjusted them to bang on the 0.5 degree line for the price of a beer.

Not worth doing it yourself really.

My Fizzmos have been fine, no issues at all, where-ever they've been fitted. (Also fitted into the back of my mum's Toymota Previa to help with wheelchair access) And they've been fitted for about three months now. With the in-line resistors you take out the original w5w (I used some needle-nosed pliers for this - and TBH you'll be doing this whatever you end up going with) plug the resistors in place of the w5w and the LED on the other end, et voila! If you want to change them, they're a darn-sight easier to remove than the OEM. The only think to check before you put it all back together, is that it works, as the LEDs will only work one way round.

10 minutes, including making the tea ;) ;) That's the beauty of the Octavia, headlights out, easy job. :)

Right, update to the Fizzmo LEDs:

Mine started flickering just before Christmas and then one side died on Boxing Day, the other flickering badly. Today I replaced them with something else. When I removed the flickering ones, I tried them in the courtesy light (just to see) 3/5 were flickering, the other 2 very dim. When I removed the package from the courtesy light it was quite hot. I suspect that they are on long enough in the car (Boxing Day was 4 hours straight) that they are cooking in-situ. The usual ones in the courtesy light are getting warm after about 5 minutes.

Hi,

About to purchase the Londoncolour non-canbus HID 35w HID kit for my 55 Plate Octavia II 1/9 TDI Ambiente

Reading these forums I thought I would check that I could reprogram the controller first. I opened controller 9 and see two strings I can edit but no Xenon options - does this mean I can't install the HIDs?

Here's the screen shots:

My understanding is that Canbus HID kits can be fitted now without any coding.

"Plug and Play"

I'm looking into buying the HID can bus coversion kit from londoncolour, I have a 2012 octavia blackline...

Should these just work straight out of the box?

I never used canbus ones in any of my 3 vRS cars.

I always used non canbus and coded to suit.

But it is my understanding that canbus kits are now plug and play.

^ EDIT ^

I will not be responsible for any damage to your car if it does not work. :)

Are the CAN-BUS versions just the same version with a huge integrated capacitor to fool the sensing?

Thanks for that vectra1!

I had xenons on my last vRS and now have halogens as most people do on the Blacklines, just isn't the same!

They easy enough to install? Ta :)

Simple fit and code using non canbus.

Simple fit and code using non canbus.

I originally bought the non-canbus ones and londoncolour people told me it wouldn't work on my car. They said I'd need the can bus ones which I've now purchased.

Anyway will see how I get on :)

It will work, It has been done on many cars here.

What kit would i need for a 62 plate Octavia vRS TDI? Canbus or Non Canbus

I have a 56 plate and installed non-canbus. No coding was required and no warning light.

Anyone know why selecting Bit 7 on Byte 17 causes my DRL to stop working?

That's dearer than buying new :(

Depends which ones you buy new

Depends on how much research you do to get the best value without being mugged

Here's a other one for you. Do you know the saying "If you've nothing nice to say....."

Have you ever heard of the word 'opinion'?

Yes thanks,

Ever heard of being overly opinionated?
