Grey smoke when turbo spooling up

Featured Replies

When starting my 54 plate70k fabia vrs I have stared to get excessive grey smoke + when accelerating (turbo spooling up) I used to get the usual black puff of smoke this has now gone to a large smoke screen very pale grey. Any one got ideas what is causing this. Only mod is air fiter.

Is it drinking oil more than usual?

Or more coolant?

We're both thinking on the same lines for a fault, an HGF. Using more oil and/or coolant would tend to support this, certainly enough to make an inspection for mayonaisse and maybe a coolant gas test worthwhile.

Checked for mayonaise and nothing there. Not using oil or coolant both filled correctly

Can you put back the old paper filter and see if it solves the problem?
