Creaking from the front end 54 Fabia VRS

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Picked up my latest vrs on saturday, off a forum member, just need some advise..

Theres a creaking from the front end at very low speeds, say slowing down for a speed bump, pulling off in first.. Its really getting to me and would rather sort it sooner than later..

Its only 46k on a 2004/54

Its been very well maintained, and front bushes were done about 2 years back.

Arb bushes?

Arrrr mines doing the same, ive replaced top mounts and bearings both front and rear wishbone bushes. I want it to stop :( mines coming from the top of the strut some where.

Mines doing the same since replacing the rear wishbone bushes with Cupra solid ones. No idea why it is doing it.suppose less slack

I think that it could just be the TCA hexagonal peg trying to turn slightly in the Cupra solid bush - the ones on my wife's Polo creaks now and again - really weather dependant, I have not tried spraying on any "rubber friendly" lubricant and honestly can't see how enough of anything sprayed on would get in far enough to give long term "relief" - though I'd think that it would be enough to give you a quick answer to if that was the source of the noise.

Turned out the front 18mm wishbone bolt needed tightening a few turns. Cheap fix :)

Thats a strange one...

Mine did it for a couple thousand miles, was the new Jom struts bedding in
