Trading in my vRS on Friday....

Featured Replies

....for a black VW Golf R. After my third vRS I just fancied something different and I've always loved Golfs and always wanted a GTi. I'll post some pictures in the General Chat section when I get it and I'll still frequent these forums on a semi regular basis so it's not goodbye by any means.

This is really just a heads up to everyone that frequents the Octy II section that there's a number of items in the for sale section that I will be removing from my vRS before I hand it over.

Currently advertised:

- Carbon Speed CAI (virtually brand new!)

- TTS Shortshifter

- Rear sunshades

- 15mm hubcentric spacers with extended bolts (plus extended McGard locking nuts too if anyone's interested)

I'll also be advertising my 16" Audi A4 winter wheels with Goodyear Ultra Grip 8 tyres that I used for about 3 months so are hardly worn.

Cheers

John

Nice choise :hi:

It looks nice in Blue

It will be interesting to hear a comparison when you have had the Golf for a while.

Hope you enjoy your new car.

Good luck keeping it clean :-)

Golf R is a very tidy car. 4wd with S3 engine. Nice. Is it DSG or manual? 4wd just in time for winter, that worked out well.

It's manual, never really fancied DSG. My last Golf was black and it looked stunning and I found it ok to keep clean. No better or worse than white.

Very jealous. You must earn a wage to afford one mate.

It's second hand Harry and reasonably priced compared to others I have seen advertised.

nice choice, would be tempted by one myself, except the price they command is ridiculous (IMO) vs the cost of an S3 which is pretty much identical!

S3's are ten a penny though, you see one everytime you're out on the roads. The Golf R is pretty exclusive as there aren't many about and because they are so new they aren't as attainable as an S3. How many Golf R's have you actually seen on the road?

I got mine for a good price but generally yes they are silly money still.

Looks great Jonno - shame to lose you from the skoda fold but i certainly can see the attraction!

:)

Post some pics/thoughts when you get it. In fact, you should do a build thread on here, you know, s1 map, turbo upgrade etc. ;)

Jonno - did you get the car yet?

Pah - call that a boot

Nice motor - have fun.

Paul

That is one lovely motor

I'm interested in the winter wheels when you are ready to sell them. I'm looking around ATM so as soon as I find some i'll be buying them.

Very nice B)

Golf is the right size for me so I may well follow you down that route when I come to change.

Nice car. Give us a short review when you've done a few miles.

Pah, it's only a Golf.

KIddin - looks stunning. Very understated IMO, bit of "Q" car.

Golf R's are everywhere, here!!

As are GTI's.

What does the CAI look like?

Any chance it might fit a TDI?

Very nice. Enjoy your new golf. I had a mk5 pirelli but had to Trade in for a diesel. Went for vrs in race blue and I love it but I've just traded in again for vessel blackline in black. Miss the performance of my pirelli though.
