Stud conversion spacers

Featured Replies

My new wheels are rays engineering splits, so are a jdm wheel, they need spacing out to give clearance on the inner arch, does anyone know who makes stud conversion spacers??

Thanks

H&R are the best for stud conversions because they are ally but have steel thread inserts.

Are u sure u need stud conversion spacers??

Alot of the Rays wheels are 5x100 (because scooby imprezza's are 5x100 ;) )

Unless the wheels are 5x114.3 another common jap fitment????

They are defiantly 5x100 but I need hubcentic spacers I can bolt on that also convert it to studs so Ime not changing the Pcd, just a stud conversion and spacing at the same time...

That's just a hubcentric spacer isn't it? No conversion of the studs is going on.

No, its turning the bolt recesses into actual bolts the wheel will sit on, then there'll be nuts to secure it to the bolt, rather than the bolt being the thing you turn to secure it. Old skool, like. :D

Yes exactly that, but do we know anyone that makes them ??

You're the first person in over 11 years that I've owned a Skoda, or VAG anything for that matter, that has wanted a stud conversion. I simply don't think there is the demand for such a conversion for it to be a readily available item. Can you not get the wheels so they can be used with a normal hubcentric spacer kit, and normal bolts?

I doubt it's readily available but could be done. Shark_Rob has converted his Mk3 Ibiza to studs, think it makes wheel changes quicker and easier on track (less fiddly to line up the wheel on bolts than it is to line up bolt holes) but I'm not sure exactly how. He's probably done a lot of the work himself though rather than buying parts, he's fairly handy with a set of powertools and a welder...

Ime not sure that i definetly need them yet, i was just sort of getting a few idea incase i actually need to convert it. Like you say studs are just for easy/ quick removal on tracks, drifters use them alot. I will post a picture up of the bolt holes and you may see what I mean..

I have scooby wheels on my car with hubcentric spacers. I had to use the cone type bolt so it seated properly onto the wheel. Conical is standard for VAG

i have done a stud conversion on my last car

ebay is your friend about £20 for the kit
