Hate SUV's!!

Indeed

I couldnt care less what anyone else drives, as long as it is driven properly. There is a sense those things are indestructable, and they probably are to some extent. Either way, the same goes for new cars versus old cars. Metro vs Furby would be 0-1 ;)

Each to their own - I'd like an Octy for it's size once SWMBO & I start our family, but it will be using more fuel, and at the moment that's more important to me. When I was only driving 15 mile roundtrips on slowish roads, the Metro was perfectly adequate. By no means a perfect car, but similarly the Furby would not be the best choice for the distance. On the other hand doing 50 miles in it does make sense. Swings & roundabouts ;)

I don't hate SUVs because they're more likely to cause an injury in an accident, or because they aren't very economical. I hate SUVs out in the country because they tend to be very slow when they're cornering, but then accelerate to 70mph+ on the straights just so you can't overtake them. And I hate them on the motorway 'cause they get out into the fast lane and just sit at 80mph, you can't see what's happening up ahead because of this bloody great van in front blocking your view. And I hate them in town because they take up 2 parking spaces. Mind you, I hate people carriers and MPVs even more ! ;)

That's the driver, not the car. I followed a guy this morning in an Escort. 30mph thought the twisties on a NSL road (you can easily do 50 round the corners), 50mph through the next village (30mph)
