Bluetooth Issues on superb gsm III

Featured Replies

Hi All

New to all this, just got my self a march 11 plate superb 1.8tsi with the gsm III and maxidot. I have read a few forums, and still at a loose end.

Hopefully someone could help me?

Basically i have got a pay as u go samsung e2600 and am trying to link it to the car bluetooth. It links fine and syncronizes contacts to both screens, however i cannot make any calls, due to it saying no network connection all the time.

I have tried my grandsons fone ( sony ericson xperia arc) with my simcard in, this works fine with everything on the car as it shud.

I have researched into the bluetooth module i have on the car and found out i have this module under the drivers seat : 5no 035 730D.....as i understand this module should me rSAP and hands free( the latest module).

Got fed up of all this and went to carphone warehouse in leeds to try a new phone, they managed to get my samsung working ok came home and discovered no network again, can anyone suggest a phone within a £100 budget that will work with my setup?

and answers / suggestions will be appreciated!

Danny

I had the same problem with my Samsung Galaxy W. I found a setting in the Phone menu (via Maxidot) that set the connection mode to something like Basic instead of Premium and that sorted it. It loses some of the features though I couldn't tell you which ones as I haven't noticed :)

In my opinion you don't have gsm antenna connected to the bluetooth module. Then you're connecting to bt with premium (rsap) by default. You can connect via standard (hfp) or check car gsm antenna.

Thanks for comments, car has the latest small antenna, think antenna must be working as i said it works with other higher speck phones, funny though my older samsung e2550 fone connected ok but had to accept files on fone every time I started car,got grandson to try everything with fone settings as i,am a bit of an idiot ( not up to date) please keep suggestions coming as I,am getting frustrated, when it says no network what does mean, as the maxidot and screen gets my fone address ok, I'am trying to understand if its the fone signal strength, or the car system.

ON some phones you need to permit to connect into car automatically, some you don´t.

On maxidot you also have the Bluetooth option, their you can reloud new contact list.

I recently changed phone, Nokia to Samsung, and the list didn´t come up when the phone conected.

, I'am trying to understand if its the fone signal strength, or the car system.

Does the PHONE say "no network" or does this appear on the CAR's maxidot? I think it is the phone, and than it's perfectly normal, since the phone is connected with the (superior) rsap protocol.

Hi no it's not the fone it's on the screen display above my list of tele numbers.

When you are using a "premium" connection method, you're connected with rsap profile. When "standard" it's normal hands free protocol same as every bluetooth headset is using.

In hfc range is from the phone. Check out the phone range.

In rsap car telephone module is "borrowing" your sim card and all communication is done by car module. Your phone only lease Your simcard to the car module.

In hfc no range means no range, or the phone has a malfunction. On rsap no range means no range or car module has malfunction. Mostly no gsm antenna connected (or not working).

Please check it...

Try what people are suggesting and put it in basic mode.

Oh and it's phone, phone, phone, phone, phone, phone, phone! ;) ;)

Hi guess what, went (fone) to applications bluetooth skoda bt authorise and everything worked, then wife tried to call later (as they do, ) no connection, fone to fone and away from car, so later i tried settings connectivity ask on conection, that did not work,

so back square one, fones working ok but not with car back to no network even though still authorised.

stevehg how do i put fone in basic mode.

ditto can you highlight premium and standard how can i tell how the fones trying to connect to the bluetooth On rsap no range means no range (do you mean weak signal) In hfc range is from the phone. Check out the phone range (how don't understand why it connected when i authorised first time but won't repeat.

thank for sticking with me.

Hi all it appears that my samsung e2600 is now reliably connecting to to the car. (don't ask how i did it cos i don't know) Now can any one tell me why i can only use the voice system if i tag the names in the address book, if i ask from voice to call, call name, all i get, when i say name is a load of abcccs ,the system does'nt seem to be able recognise the name i call in the address book.

thank for all the help

Maybe you're not spelling the name correctly and so it doesn't understand you?  :angel:
