Octavia is tough ride

6 months ago I bought an Octavia Estate 1.6 TDI and have been disappointed with the ride. It sits on 165/65 VR16 Bridgestones and whilst it has only done 16000 miles I would have thought the suspension to have mellowed. Its fine with a full load but with 1/2 people on board it seems an unduly bumpy ride. Roads have definitely been allowed to deteriorate in the last couple of years by cash-strapped Highwqays authorities etc. Skoda dealership not showing much interest.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
