Hi guys

I dont know if i have a fault with my lights but i thought i would ask first

As soon as i switch on my ignition my main dipped beams come on in any position other that the side light position is this normal ? Even with lights switched to the off position they are still on all day even in bright sunlight , you can see this in the bumper of the car in front.

In the off position there are no interior lights active , ie on the heating and steering wheel controls ect. I am sure its just a setting but i am a little lost as how to find it

Sorry if this is a stupid question but i thought i would ask before i flatten my battery or just generally annoy people with my "look at me" lights on all day .

Sounds like the DRL's are switched on, on earlier cars this option run the headlights at 95% brightness. So yes what you describe is perfectly normal.

As you have an elegance you can disable this using the maxidot menu. i am not sure where the option is, but look for Daytime lights, DRL etc. and set to off.

Have a look under `Settings` > `Light and Vision`.

I thought the DLR's were only on the fogs . I am still learning were things are ,, so many options
