Lowering on Eibach

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Moving from BMW 330 CI M-Sport to Octavia VRS it seems that the car is very high and soft therefore I'm thinking aboud adding a little bit of stiffness and better look. Does anyone have them on:

I'm also thinking about spacers for rear wheels , what size and make would you recommend?

Regards

Moving from M sport suspension pretty much any car would feel soft!! The Octy does sit rather high even though the vRS sits 20mm lower than the rest of the range so a set lowering springs would certainly look better. I have used Eibachs on previous cars and I was certainly impressed by them. 15mm spacers seems to be the norm for the rears.

Search for pictures I've posted. I had eibach pro springs with15mm spacers on the rear on my vrs. Eibachs don't go low enough for some but the benefit is that you can use them with oem dampers although I used Koni FSDs.

have a read here.

many more other discussions have been had........

I have pro springs and 15mm spacers on the rear.. there is plenty of pic's and related threads.... as I had them fitted at the same time I cant comment on without one or the other. But it definitely improves body roll without too much compromise. It seems fractionally lower and with spacers looks better. I have had no issues with this setup so far

Eibachs are excellent....I've had them on three of my cars,a Alfa 147,fiat stilo Abarth and my current saab(though these are badged hirsch and were covered by the Saab warranty which is a good sign)

On al three cars, the ride quality hasn't suffered but the handling is tightened up and improved.
