Advice on window 'guiders'

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've had Autoglass out to replace a passenger window on my Skoda, as I'd had it broken into. He's told me that whilst he's fitted the window that the guiders are broken and electrically it can't raise/lower the window... My insurance excess is £400.... Having no experience myself in this area, could anyone recommend whether it's worth going through the insurance for this or whether I should take it somewhere outside of the inusrance company and just get it fixed - I ask, as I've no idea of how much it'll be... I'm based in Leeds.

Thanks for any input!

What year is your car?

The regulator needs repairing, or replacing.

If your car is an early one - i.e. before 2004 - doing it DIY is a lot easier.
