Reactivating stock alarm?

Featured Replies

Does the Fabia have the little button on the kick panel near the bonnet catch to disable the internal sensors?

No, the double press also disables interior sensors on these

as well as deadlocking.

Hmm, the only reason I think it has an alarm is when I was looking for car insurance all the comparison sites automatically said I had an alarm system installed.

The catalogue I downloaded on 10/2/06 suggests the Sport doesn't have an alarm as standard - only the Elegance and the vRS - and it's not available as an extra either - EDIT - or two others from later in that year

Interesting. Explains why me flapping and bouncing around in the car didnt get anything off. Hmm would have thought with all the optional extras the woman who bought the car initially she might have had an alarm fitted. :)

Might have been suggested already, but lock the car, then disconnect a battery terminal. The detected drop in voltage should trigger it - mine kept doing this when I was fixing the failed alternator!

The one in my Sept 00 (so 12 y/o) GTi is still working fine, so you should be fine at 5!

Edit - not an option to have fitted, I clearly jumped the gun!
