Newest Octavia without DPF (UK Market)

Featured Replies

In buying my Octavia (Pre FL 2009 1.9 Tdi) I took care to aviod the DPF (reason why that 0GG code became important to me before I even owned a Skoda).

I dont think diesels come much newer without the DPF but just wondered what the newest non DPF UK market Octavias were.

Seem to think that only the 2.0L diesels in the Vrs ( 170 BhP ) trim were the only one's with a DPF

The newer diesels have them fitted now. 1.6L Diesel

All the Octy FL diesel models have them fitted now.

So the 1.9 you bought was indeed probably one of the last, with a MY09 pre-FL model.

In the brochure I got last July (so surely a FL model) you could buy a non DPF 1.9 105bhp diesel

Yep, the non-DPF 1.9TDi PD105 was fitted to the facelift Octavia.

When we ordered ours in 2010 we found the 2.0PD tdi was DPF in VRS, Scout and 4x4 format but confirmed (in writing at the time) as non-DPF in the Elegance spec we ordered.

Amusingly ended up being built on the first week of switch-over to the CR version with DPF. Not had any issues in 2 years / 20k miles but didn't want the PD / DPF combo.

It's able to be sorted aftermarket for a small enough cost that I wouldn't let it drive your car purchasing decision.

My 2008 2.0TDI Elegance didn't come with a DPF.

Any petrol wont give you the economy , but wont give the problems

The last 1.9 produced is the BXE code engine used in the Superb MK2 also. It's a late 2006 engine used in all models until the end. None had DPF,s.
