I've seen some BBS replica wheels on eBay which are around half the price of proper BBS' and only just more expensive than having my standards refurbished.

Has anyone any experience of these reps? Are they rubbish quality? Do they flake and buckle or are they ok?

Hi, I have a Mk1 on BBS LM Reps, They are fine. well made. Have had no issues. hope that helps.

I also have 19" BBS replica wheels and the quality is bad on them. I bought them as new and have had them for half a year on my car and the lacquer has come off from the lip of two rims and there are no centre rings on the market that would fit perfectly on the rims centre hole. So you can´t install them on the car properly and they tend to shudder because of that. The wheels have been balanced two times and they are not crooked but still got the annoying shudder.

Would not buy those again.

They will also probably be heavier. I've heard good and bad things about reps, it was enough to make me not buy them.

Might just get the standards refurbished then. Thought about black or anthracite but the cars black magic so I think that would be too dark.

There are enough good wheels out there for the same or less than BBS Reps. Look at 3SDMs for example.... awesome wheels.
