Flashing at other vrs's

Featured Replies

When I was growing up, my parents & brother had classic cars (2cv's, VW's, Morris Minors etc), and so I was used to waving/flashing at other cars of the same marque. I too then got a motorbike at 16, and bikes do the same wave/nod/flash (lights, not willies) to each other

My parents thought it was hilarious when I started doing the same in the car I learnt to drive in - a mk2 Astra.

90% of the other vrs drivers I see are about 102. Flashing them would just cause them to do something stupid no doubt

  • I flash um anyway, then get back in my car and drive off quickly

  • Depends, I normally do if the driver is female and fit, but then that isn't just for vRS's

I am going to start! Now just Fab's? Or Octy's too?

If just Fabia's.....

MkII's included?

See it's getting complicated now :-p

I used to in Darlington and up my area of County Durham, got the odd flash or nod back but it was very rare. I just used to flash Fabia vRS's though, mainly driven by old biddies and other bemused people!

good call, i'll start doing it in the south wales area. got an 06 silver. keep an eye out :peek: . might get a couple of stares.

I havnt got my fabia on the road but i have a 10plate pug bipper van that i often have to take past port talbot for work so if someone waves and flashes in a very small van its me :)

Bipper eh? You flash get! :D

No Vrs round this way to flash sadly

Haven't ever flashed anyone but have had nod's with other vrs owners, mk1 octavias especially. Dont see many mk1 fabia vrs's round here the few I have seen aren't driven by duffers, that seems to be clio sports for some reason.?

oh yes roll down windows the lot. it has a mp3 cd player though :)

we should all get big briskoda stickers or sun strips on the cars then not only do we know to flash we will also know that its a forum member as the briskoda stickers i have seen previously have always been small and practically invisable whilst moving just me 2p worth.

We'd all look like Simbo then. You can't miss his car...

Your right that does stand out

well im game well for the front anyway already gota sticker at the top of the rear window so couldnt do the rear lol are there any available to buy through briskoda or would it be a case of get one made yourself?

I think they were available once but it shouldnt be hard

to get one made if you have a PNG file of the logo/lettering.

well im game if others are maybe a group buy and to make things easier just have one standardised sun strip so everyone looks the same so to speak would be alot easier for whom ever is concerned

Hello to the black 55 reg Fabia mk1 vRS that flashed / said hello to me in Ashford, Kent tonight (I'm a red 54 reg Fabia Mk1 vRS) I did try and flash back but you may not of noticed due to the angle of my car waiting to come onto the roundabout.

1st post on here. Been looking at the forum for a couple of weeks now. Already picked up some handy knowledge / tips / ideas for my car in the future.

I got a thumbs up the other day from a black furb vRS in Horsham, but they're quite common. There are 3 mk1 furb vRS within 500 yards of my house, one day I saw 6 mk1 furb vRS's on one journey, and that was literally to my local Tesco.

My company has a mk2 fabia vrs estate and an octavia mk2 fl vrs.

Not exactly rare here! haha

Never see any round my area. I flashed a Race Blue Octy VRS the other day and he gave me the finger. Nice chap :(

I gave the thumbs up the other day. The guy looked at me like I should be in a padded cell. Love the British sprit.

I can't recall ever seeing another Fabia Vrs on the roads of Suffolk! :giggle:

I got my vRS on friday and havent seen another one yet :(

Darn it. Won't get to flash a soul when i'm in the uno turbo. Still, i could always try it on a day out cruising in Cape Town or Sao Paulo - I hear thers's one or two of 'em out there!
