You are braking way too much then :) You should only "need" to brake in a maximum of 20 places, I know someone who does it only braking 6 times

For the record, I have never killed my pads there. Never had fade either. May be I just drive too slow :D

That includes one 3 day trip when I did just under 90 laps :D

What sort of BTG does it do? Just for comparisson with my diesel Octy' date=' not a pi ssing contest, honest, just curious.

Mines about 8'50" - 8'55" . My old black one (petrol) did 8'30" - 8'32" so I'm interested to see how a Fabia compares[/quote']

I haven't timed it as the track seems to be permanently under repair somewhere or other. I'd be amazed if it could get under 9mins with stock suspension & brakes without a very much better driver than me.

without a very much better driver than me.

I would be happy to be half as good as you on the track ...

What about updating the Furby brakes to Brembo then ?

BTW can you pass me your mail adress by P.M, so I can send you the

Ring pics of you. But don

Carsten upload them on here, i'd like to see them....

The Easter session included the Grandprix Strecke which is very hard on tyres & brakes. The Porsche has R tyres which work the brakes even harder. The Furby seems to be not wearing the pads as much as the Porsche but then it isn't going anywhere near as fast. In the Furby there are quite a few places I can take flat or with a lift of the throttle but in the Porsche that isn't possible. With better suspension it may be possible to take even more places flat. The issue with the Furby is that the brakes just don't feel very good compared to the Porsche & are definitely less effective after 2 or 3 laps.

I currently brake at about 32 places in the Porsche which is about 4 less than Sabine Schmitz does when she drives the Ring Taxi. Jorg Mueller the BMW works driver brakes in 39 different places on a Tourist lap in an M3. Most of my braking points are what I learned on the BMW driving school here.
