ChrisRs Detail 2...BMW 318D

Featured Replies

Close on the heels of the X1 detail, I was given the opportunity to detail a rather neglected 1 year old BMW 3 Series belonging to my mates wife.

The paintwork was dull and lifeless, but only a couple of light 'Ladies ring' scratches on the tailgate and the wheels were really caked in brake dust.

1. Wheels cleaned with BH Autowheel...Two attempts they were so bad

2. Car Snow Foamed

3. Washed with TBM

4. Dried with 'CG Woolly Mammoth' drying towel

5. Bodywork polished via Megs DA and 5" MF Pad with 'CarLack 68' Nano AIO cleaner polish

(Some scratches removed with Scholl S3 Gold Polish)

6. Hand waxed with 'Collinite 845 Insulator Wax'

7. Glass cleaned

8. Wheel sealed with 'Optimum Optiseal'

9. Tyres dressed with Kleers Tyre dressing..not that impressed with that TBH..but it worked

Sorry no Before pics

Here are the results:

Please note:

All monies made from this 'Detailing Service' and subsequent work will ALL go to the students at my school

Each has to raise £1850 for this 'opportinity of a lifetime'.

Any previous post from me asking you to 'drop me a line' or a 'PM'..or just to 'ask' if you need some work doing, is purely in aid of this venture.

In no way at all has this been for any commercial or personal gain
