World Challenge Expedition to Malaysia July 2013

Hi Guys

I'm offering my services, with some help from bluevrs2 (When available) to clean/protect/detail your car.

ALL funds will go to World Challenge Malaysia 2013

I need to help raise some money for my School Expedition to Malaysia next July 2013...which will involve a conservation project in a local village, some work in a Blind School and a Physically Handicapped School in The Cameron Highlands Rainforest.

Prices would depend on the condition and work required on the car and ALL money will go to the Students to help fund the trip

A rough guide (Car specific) would be:

£10 for a good wash with Snow Foam and TBM (1 hour)

£20 to £30 for a good wash and a wax or sealer top up (A few to choose from) (2 Hours)

£100 upwards for a protection detail (This includes removal of old waxes and Sealers) (2-3 hours)

£150 upwards for paint work correction (Using Dual Action and Rotary Polishers) (5 hours+)

(Full details on request)

NOTE: A Paint Thickness Gauge is used to measure areas of your car prior to polishing/correction

Note: All work undertaken at owners own risk

I would be willing to travel a few miles if absolutely necessary but would prefer to use my own equipment at home or at Alan's (bluevrs2)

I live in Bingley, Alan in Baildon, West Yorkshire. Please contact me or Alan to discuss your requirements after expressing interest in this thread

Looking forward to hearing from you

Please book in by the end of April at the latest..Thanks

I'd be right up for this and the works - if you weren't the best part of 280 miles away! :(

Best o'luck with the challenge.

Please note:

All monies made from this 'Detailing Service' and subsequent work will ALL go to the students at my school

Each has to raise £1850 for this 'opportinity of a lifetime'.

Any previous post from me asking you to 'drop me a line' or a 'PM'..or just to 'ask' if you need some work doing, is purely in aid of this venture.

In no way at all has this been for any commercial or personal gain

Honda Civic Detail in Aid of 'World Challenge'

Many thanks to Tristan for driving all the way down from near Inverness via Leeds for me to do some work on the car icon_wink.gif

Car was very dirty and on its steel winter wheels

Close inspection with a halogen lamp revealed a lot of swirls, but no deep ones and some etching from bird droppings + a couple of roadside hedge scratches in the bumper

This is what I did, with help from a friend, due to time factors

I would have liked another couple of hours .....but it came up well nontheless.

Tristan was very pleased

1. Liberal spray of APC

2. Rinse with pressure washer

3. Application of snow foam

4. Door shuts tailgate etc... all attacked with a detailing brush

4b. Car washed via TBM with Megs Gold class Car shampoo

5. Car clayed and re-rinsed...very litte tar in evidence

6. Dried

7. Plastic parts masked with Tape

8. Polished with Scholl S17+ via Rotary

9. Finished with CarLack 68 - Nano Systematic AIO polish/sealer via MF Pad and Megs DA polisher

10. Car snow foamed again to remove loose polish dust, rinsed and dried again

11. Wax applied by hand (Collinite 845)

12. Glass cleaned inside and out and RainX applied to exterior glass..roof as well

13. Exterior plastic trim dressed

Many thanks to Alan for helping

Start to finish 3.5 hours

Just saw this Chris!

I have never taken my cars to a professional detailer.

But since its all for charity and u just live up the road from me -

i like to pop by to see what u can do for my Superb (a few scrapes / scratches / lots of swirls).

I m free usually from 3:40pm (not this/nx weekends nor coming tues/wed).

But happy to wait for a dry sunday in march too!
