So you got these bigger injectors coming...don't you need a bigger FPR type thing as well? I guess your map will need adjusting as well.

vRs hubs. Nice Got my old 288mm vRS setup...

Going for 312s mate hopefully. No offence, but if I'm going up from 256s, I want to go the whole hog and 288s would only be 50% the way there IMO ;)

Getting to where? Fabia vRS performance and handling????

Worth a try. :D

Nope. ;) Just want something a little more special than a TDI, something a little unique.

Worth a try. :D

Haha, beat me to it, I still have mine lying around :D

I take it you have a 100pd model, so what will uprating the injectors do?

also what is this?

I have a 100pd ibiza and want more power also but dont have a clue how to get it by upgrading engine parts.

The injectors are just the PD130 ones, which are can be pushed a lot further as standard, than the PD100 ever can. (way over 200hp, whereas 100s struggle to push more than 150)

Don't know about any fuel pump modding needed. I sort of assumed the fuel pumps were the same as essentially, its not the fuel pump which is controlling the fuel usage, its the injectors. I reckon (ok, I'm guessing :P) that the fuel pump will be able to squeeze a little more diesel through. (when being remapped, its never been mentioned to me "your fuel pump is at max flow"... Only the injectors.)

Hi,

Does your source have any more pd130 injectors please?

And can I ask you how much you paid for them?

Cheers

John

I'd better PM you. ;)

heres a interesting question...

is the PD cam different on the 100-130-150 heads?

(theres a camshaft that run the injectors)

and because of the way the injectors work, i would seek advice before fitting them, as im not sure the engine will run properly if it isnt tweaked to suit first.

Not sure, but I know someone has fitted PD150 ones in place of the 130s, so reckon the same should apply across the board. I'm willing to be the first to give it a shot though. The injectors were quite reasonable value.

J,

I'm with Col on this hence my previous questions...

....does PD have some sort of FPR...don't know at all?

I'm sure it's not just a case of changing the injectors.. surely you need something to pump the fuel through them at a great rate?

Better do some asking...better safe than sorry.

The fuel pump is the same as is the fuel pressure (2050 bar inside the injector) Fuel quanitity is controlled by the engine ECU, all that will happen now is the injector will inject more fuel for a given time of opening. However I would recomend you get them fitted profesionally and by someone with the right tooling, if the injectors dont sit right in the head its game over.

No probs on THAT score.. I think I know who will end up fitting them, if plans all go ahead. ;) Still curoius about the hubs thing though. Skoda dealer down my way (not my normal one BTW) had a techie which said from what he knew about the hubs on the vRS/"others", he's 99% sure the vRS housing/bearings complete will fit on my car. Well, I can only wait to see if he's right or not. :D

2050 bar? Fook me!

Jasons gonna break his car ner nerr ner ner!.

youll need to put pd100 bearings in the vRS hub as the driveshafts ARE different.. (not sure if the bearing diameter is different in which case youll need the RS gearbox and driveshafts too)

and for injectors, if you do get them fitted, with out the remap... youll be lucky if the engine runs at all.. as it will be injecting far far too much fuel.

Jason get yourself over to www.tdiclub.com and start asking some questions.

The drive shafts are deffo different 100% on that, the only thing im not 100% on is if the splined part of the driveshaft that locks into the bearing/hub is the same diameter, if it isnt your driveshafts wont fit and why you may need 100 PD bearings, both have the same outside diameter btw.

Ahh, so that answers that question. so theoretically pd100 bearings will fit the hubs. so if the driveshafts are different, new bearings will solve.

Yeah but they are about

Yeah but they are about
