Thanks to Danny (nutters_uclan)) for finally being able, due to weather, to bring over from Burnley..... his nice but badly swirled and marked 4 year old Black Magic Octavia Tdi Elegance

Detail details:

Wheels cleaned with AB Purple Rain Iron remover and CarPlan (All I had) Wheel Cleaner

Valet Pro pH neutral Snow Foam

Wash via TBM with CarPlan Snow Foam Car Shampoo with a Dooka Sheepskin Wash Pad

Clayed with Bilt Hamber Soft Clay bar

Rinsed again

Dried with a Chemical Guys Wooly Mammoth Drying Towel and Uber Drying Towel

Car polished with a Rotary via a 3M Medium 3" yellow Polishing Pad and a 5" CG Medium polishing pad and Scholl S17+ Polish

Paintwork refined/jewelled via a Megs v2 Dual Action Polisher with a Chem Guys Hexalogic 5" Finishing Pad and Menz 400 Finishing polish by Danny

Car then snow foamed again and rinsed to remove polish splatter and dust..Dried off again

Waxed with Zymol Titanium Glaze Wax

Steel Tailpipes cleaned and polished with Brillo Pads and finished with TCut Metal polish.

Wheels sealed with Wolfs Body Wrap Sealer

Windows cleaned with Diamondbrite Glass Cleaner

Trim dressed with Carpro Perl

Finally...... Tyres dressed with Meguiars Endurance Tyre Shine

A long 8 hours...but worth it.

Danny was very pleased indeed and more contribution for our trip to Malaysia

I'll add some pictures myself, when I recover! Knackered now!

I really can't express how happy I am with the result; the car looks superb now. Chris was happy to share his knowledge and got me involved to learn some of the basics, which I really appreciated too.

All in all, a hard but enjoyable day in Yorkshire! I hope the kids get a lot from that trip to Malaysia too.

So here it is.....The LAST car to be detailed in aid of our Malaysia Trip

We had actually arranged this way back in February...but crap weather and circumstances have prevented it until today

Thanks to AndyC for driving all the way from Lichfield in his blue Yeti Elegance 170 CR 4x4

The car was in need of a fair amount of cleaning and there were some pretty epic scratches on the bonnet inflicted by snow clearing apparantly

Detail details:

Wheels cleaned with Wonder Wheels Hot Rims Iron remover

Valet Pro pH neutral Snow Foam

Wash via TBM with Meguiars Gold Class Car Shampoo with a Dooka Sheepskin Wash Pad

Clayed with Bilt Hamber Soft Clay bar

Rinsed again

Dried with a Chemical Guys Wooly Mammoth Drying Towel

Some obvious scratches polished out with a Rotary via a 3M green compounding pad ...some minor swirls and paint conditioning done with a 3M Yellow medium/fine polishing pad.....and Scholl S17+ Polish

Further polishing via a Megs v2 Dual Action Polisher with a Chem Guys Hexalogic Medium Pad by Alan

Car then snow foamed again and rinsed to remove polish splatter and dust..Dried off again

Car then waxed with Dodo Juice Purple Haze Wax

Wheels sealed with Armoural Shield for Wheels

Windows cleaned with Autoglym Glass Cleaner

Doorshuts dressed and buffed with Bilt Hamber QD

Tyres dressed with CarPlan Tyre Shine

Engine bay cleaned with APC, pressure washed and dressed with Autoglym Vinyl and Rubber Shine

Interior vinyls on dash and doorcards wipedwith APC and AG Vinyl Shine

Leather seates cleaned with APC

Mats removed and shampood with Carpet Shampoo. Dried and returned to the car

Exterior plastics dressed with AG Bumper Shine

Windows cleaned and sealedwith Halfords Rain repellant..all I had left, but does the job

Here are the results...Andy commented that it was now better than it was the day he bought it...Thanks Andy

Many thanks to all of you who have contributed to my fund raising efforts for our 'World Challenge' trip

We travel to Malaysia on Sunday 7th July from London Heathrow and return on Sunday 21st July

I have already helped a few of the students to buy equipment for the trip and paid for the transport to Heathrow from Leeds

All other monies will help support us when we are there and a donation to the school we will be working in
