hiya all

yesterday i fitted a kenwood unit too my gf skoda fabia 2002. after getting old tape player out i connected the kenwood up it all work. so i put the cage in and put all in. then it dint work.... check the radio fuse that ok.. is there any outher fuses i can check?? nip to halfords they tested cd player that works.. n said they can run a wire from the fag lighter for £30. but what bugs me is when it is connected still makes a sound like u ejecting a cd.

plz help

It's the live feeds by the sound of it.

They need to be switched around on the radios own wiring

not the cars. Usually red and yellow wires need to be swapped

around, there should be some sort of connector or fuse holders

to allow you to do this without cutting any wires on the radios wiring,

Ah beat me too it!

And for gods sake don't let halfords anywhere near

your wiring. You'd be better off getting Ravinnit to do it

than pay halfords.

thank you you mean the red n yellow on the cd player kos they are red to red n yellow to yellow at the min ?

Yeah, swap em. red to yellow and yellow to red.

Are there connectors in line on those wires?

ya iso block no choped wires

My Kenwood has bullet connectors on the red and yellow wires

on the cd players own wiring. I just switched them round and fitted

radio and all was well.
