Yellow vRS..

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

New to the forum and just bought myself a lovely yellow vRS which i collect on Friday. Just a general topic for discussion really as i havent seen too many yellow ones about, whats your opinion on them? In the land of Skoda, is yellow not as popular as other colours or do people like the yellow ones? I personally like it as wanted something a bit less common than black or silver and it should work well with black wheels when i get some.

Thanks :)

Yellow is good.

But then I am biased as I also have a yellow car. :D

welcome to the forum.

Yellow looks great. My last car was yellow, but went for black on the fabia. It looks great with white wheels too :D

Mine is standard at the moment and as the wheels are mint, im thinking of sticking some coilovers on it and powdercoating the wheels black...think it just makes it that little bit more agressive than lookin like a banana haha :D

errr yellow!!!!!

Our yellow car isn't a Skoda.

black and yellow is a good combo too. . .

Our yellow car isn't a Skoda.

Neither is mine.

But it stil looks OK with black wheels. :)

Love the yellow, stands out perfectly without trying

What year did they change the yellow to the darker yellow?

mine is a 55 on the duller yellow and i have seen 56 plates in the brighter yellow but i have never seen an 06 :S

Mine is a 56 plate and im not sure which yellow it is. I can find loads of topics on the yellows but none make it clear which colour is which! :/

have you got a photo of it to post up?

Yeah... i find that pictures can be misleading though depending on lighting?

i would say sprint yellow from that pic and you have colour coded handles wich is normaly on the that colour, but like you say pics can be missleading and someone could of had the handles painted them self.

Looks like Sprint Yellow to me too from that picture.

It's a nice stong colour, the earlier yellow was less vibrant.

I dont think the handles have been painted, it was an old guy who owned it and i got it from the dealership but you never know.

So which is the fainter yellow and which is the brighter yellow?

Heres another pic from the original advert...

hmm think im going to have to wait until i pick it up tomorrow! Mine looks brighter to me than yours but its down as Lemon on the spec but has colour coded door handles! lol

When I had my Octavia vRS, it was Lemon Yellow and I stuck some S3 rims on it, refurbed in Anthracite - lovely combination IMO

Welcome along.

Yellow is discussed at length here

Early lemon yellow ones got black handles, late 2006 onwards they were Sprint yellow and got colour coded handles.

It doesn't really matter yellow is yellow and is indeed rare.

Welcome along and good luck with the modifications
