Hi

I was on a couple of week back asking about a boost fault, well iv since changed the turbo as the snail/exhaust manifold was cracked and on removal i found the turbine on the intake side was starting to break up.

So i thought this would have been the problem fixed but no it still wont boost over 0.5bar, it blew off the bottom intercooler hose a day later, so i removed and cleaned out the intercooler and sorted the hose but the faults still there. Iv gt no faults on the dash And no boost leaks.

What would people suggest to check or replace? I think it could be the vacuum solenoid but i dnt want to spend £170 for it not to work. Its a 04 plate 1.9tdi ASZ engine code

Check for any leaks on the vacuum side from the boost soloined to the actuator

No leaks iv checked :( could it be map or maf sensor?

Maf sensor would be worth a try but they ain't cheap unless you now someone close who would let you try there's then if not that I would have the map looked at mate

I have a spare maf i could send you for trial, dont know if it would be compatible though, mines a 1.9 tdi alh but i know the mafs are used across a range, anyone know?

No m8 the mafs are all diff sizes for different engine codes...

The asz inlet is fairly big so the maf is also big.. im sure the ASZ + BLT MAFs are the same but urs will be smaller :(

What fault codes are you seeing? Are you able to do logs?

Before splashing out on a new maf go to a garage with diagnostics and get it tested - they can tell you if its under-performing

No fault codes bondi i cn do checks on my code reader like live data to see what sensors are reading
