Mk 1 octy Breather hose broken

Featured Replies

Today I was replacing the breather hose on the cam cover for a silicone replacement from creation motorsport when the plastic pipe which goes down to under the intake manifold decided to break. Are the mk 1 octavia vrs's prone to the vacuum hoses failing and does anyone know of a kit available from vw or skoda to replace them all?

register on vagcat.com and select your car and you'll find a diagram and well part numbers ect,,,,, might be easier for you to find what part and part number you need to replace what broke

Cheers thanks for that.

The vac pipes On the 1.8t get brittle with age and it's common for them to fail.

Tried the site with no luck. Tried prestons skoda of chelmsford who wanted to charge me 90 quid for what was the wrong pipe and they reckon they couldnt send it back lol. So i tried tps and they keep it on the shelf. £39 with the vat. Cant believe its £39 for s bit of plastic lol.
