I think i already know the answer to this one but would a strut brace that came off a Fabia 1.9TDi fit onto a Fabia vRS??

Sounds such a daft question but i want to be 100% sure.

It's meant to improve handling and is classed as a worthwhile mod. I'm sure someone will come along and point out greater advantages.

They do stiffen/quicken up the response a little, but the price you pay is

it is more crashy over potholes with one of these on.

I took the one off mine that's been on there more or less since

I bought the car in order to sell it.

There's a particular road near me that I use often which

over some time I plotted a route around all the dips and bumps.

It made it look like I'd had a drink swerving all over the shop.

But it was like driving on a cattle grid if I didn't.

That road was nowhere near as bad with the brace off but it felt baggy again

pushed through a bend compared to before with the brace (and rarb) on.

Depends what you're after really.

I removed the one on my last vRS purely for this reason.

I hear a mixture of stories and i think i'll give it a go and if i don't like it, i'll sell it on.

Would this make much difference if running coilovers and rarb?

I was going to get one but will put the money elsewhere. Does look good in the bay though!

I have one but it was fitted same time as coilovers so I'm not too sure which one is responsible for the horrific crashiness :-/

I bought mine second hand for next to nothing of one of the ibiza boys i doubt i would buy one from new. I fitted mine after i had coilovers on and to be frank i didnt notice any difference but never got to push it hard on a track though.

I have to say I didn't notice any massive gains, steering feels bit sharper, but was already pretty good due to my setup.

Does good look good tho, I stripped my down with nitromors and painted it hammerite gloss black ( rattle can) very oem looking.

Makes sweet feck all difference except pushes the nose more when tramping through corners!

I'm considering one now, toss up between black, red or chrome at the moment

Green! will fire up a pic of mine after I collect it from the powder coaters tomorrow.

I got given one! Didnt notice a huge change, but it makes an otherwise engine bay look much better.

anyone got pics of these fitted? or is there a how to as ive read a few reports of the bolts shearing
